INFORMING SOMEONE OF THE EXISTENCE OF A NEARBY COOLING CENTER TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES & IT DOESN'T COST ANYTHING. GOOD NEIGHBORS=GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS.
Based on the weather reports from the National Weather Service (NWS),
New York City will be activating its heat plan for Monday and Tuesday.
This will be our first heat event of the season. A heat advisory is
in effect from noon today to 7 PM Tuesday. The combination of high
humidity and temperatures in the lower to mid 90’s today and tomorrow
will result in indices peaking around 95 degrees.
