SUNSET PARK'S 9/11 LIVING MEMORIAL GROVE CONTINUES TO PROVIDE SOLACE + REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WE'VE LOST

While the site was specifically designed, planted and dedicated to the many affected by the events of September 11th, 2001, Sunset Park's 9/11 Living Memorial Grove has also served to bring solace + remembrance to anyone who has been touched by tragedy and loss, of any type. The Memorial Grove is always there for one and all, any day and any time. It's located on the bluff at the center of our park, closer to 5th Avenue. Please read below for a historical perspective of the memorial.
It is also noteworthy to mention that thousands of yellow (the color of remembrance) daffodils have been planted-
and more will be planted this Fall-
throughout our Park since 2002, in participation with the Daffodil Project of New Yorkers for Parks.
