Dear Southwest Brooklyn,
We ask you, our neighbors:
At a time when statistics bear out NYC's population growth- with Brooklyn leading the charge-, and climate change- as per Sandy- forecasting the need to be prepared for inevitable natural disasters, why on earth would anyone persist in diminishing the number of hospitals in our area? Please pay attention to this most disturbing trend taking place- at this very moment- in our borough. LICH (Long Island College Hospital) is not the only institution at risk, however it is the one we can save, right now! Visit www.lichmedicalstaff.org to read more about this, and we trust, become involved in saving LICH.
Remember- waterfront communities, as we know, are often the hardest hit in times of emergency. Where will you, your family and neighbors go next time you need medical assistance, if we keep closing hospitals in Brooklyn?
