While LICH's future as a full service community hospital is more hopeful today than in the past few months, the battle is far from over. LICH may not be in Sunset Park's backyard, but it is and has been part of the day-to-day healthcare safety net impacting millions along Brooklyn's WATERFRONT NEIGHBORHOODS for over 150 years; during major disasters, such as September 11 and SANDY, LICH also served Manhattan and New Jersey's coastal communities.
