Call to action over the state of the Sunset Park Playground
Please read the understandibly-angry posting in Best View in Brooklyn - "Super Trashy Park, Trashier Playground" - about the condition of the Sunset Park Playground on a recent morning. We agree that each and everyone of us needs to be good stewards of the park, but, unfortunately, our efforts over the past 14 years to recruit stewards for the playground, in particular, and sustain a Parents Playground Committee that would, for example: lock the playground at night, launch a lobbying effort for public/private funds to underwrite long-overdue repairs/redesign, organize kid-run toy recycling sales, and much more... have not been successful.
